Our Process

Explore

We start potential partnerships with an exploratory inquiry period. During the inquiry year, school leaders interested in partnering with The Gust Foundation are invited to send a small leadership team to our Inclusive Schools professional learning series. In addition, this leadership team will meet with Gust Foundation Inclusion Strategists to explore whether our partnership is a good match for the school’s vision of inclusive transformation. In this phase, Inclusion Strategists work with a small leadership team.

Partner

Our partnership work begins with school leadership to build a foundation for sustainable inclusive transformation. Inclusion Strategists facilitate strategic conversations, reflections, and planning sessions to find a home for the systems, structures, practices, and strategies that lead to school-wide inclusion. In this phase of work, Inclusion Strategists work with a school leadership team.

Diffuse

When school leadership has refined its shared vision for inclusive education, our partnership work focuses on diffusing that vision throughout your school community. Though this work varies from school to school, it typically involves facilitating the development of the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to build inclusive, equitable classrooms and instruction. In this phase of work, Inclusion Strategists continue working with school leadership while also working directly with staff.
